the solution to digital overwhelm!
Using screen sharing software, I will work on YOUR computer to organize your digital photos...no matter your location. I will first consolidate your photos into one place, then sort them into a simple folder structure, remove duplicates, and back it all up to a preferred cloud service of your choice!
Find any photo in seconds, making reliving your favorite moments a breeze?
Say goodbye to duplicate photos and hello to a more cleaned up camera roll? BONUS of regained storage space!
Look through your photos with the joy and happiness they deserve?
Safeguard your photos and have a secure backup strategy that ensures your precious moments are protected for a lifetime?
When the organizing is complete, we will have another call to go over your new photo library/hub and how to navigate it. I will also cover how to maintain the organized structure going forward.
Via screen share, I work on YOUR computer to complete the photo organization process.
(1) CONSOLIDATION
(2) DUPLICATE REMOVAL
(3) SORTING
(4) BACKUP
During an organizing session, we will meet virtually for an hour to go over the details of where all of your photos are (SOURCES) + begin the transfer of files onto an external hard drive, your new photo hub!
Every client’s starting place is unique, but the end result is the same - a central Photo Library that is organized into a simple folder structure and safely backed up to the cloud. Photos + videos are usually organized together into Year/Month folders. If you have existing organization in place (such as labeled folders from the pre-kid days when you had the time to be organized), I will do my best to keep that intact and merged seamlessly into the final Photo Library.
Here’s an example of a finished library

3 to 5 sources
1 to 2 sources
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
You can expect every project to take 3-4 weeks, though timing varies based on your current state of organization, number of photos in your collection, the speed of your computer, and your internet strength.
HOW MUCH WILL I NEED TO BE AVAILABLE?
The initial consultation and wrap up calls will require you to be available for an hour each time. In between those two conversations, I will work independently via screen share while communicating with you via text message or email.
WILL I BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN THINGS MYSELF AFTER YOU ARE DONE?
That's the goal! During the wrap up call, I will demonstrate simple maintenance steps and provide a written plan that you can reference as needed. If you wish to update your library in the future, I do offer Maintenance Sessions (most clients don't need them).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The price of the session varies based on the number of photo sources you include. Example photo sources are phone(s), iCloud, Google Photos, Dropbox, external hard drives, old computers, etc. See Digital Organizing Session Pricing for more information.
A $250 deposit is due at time of booking and the remaining balance is due the week of the session.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE?
Nothing! During the initial call I will review the state of your photos and assign homework at that time (if needed). It can be helpful to have a brand new external hard drive prior to a digital organizing session, but many clients prefer that I review their situation first to determine the appropriate drive capacity and storage requirements.
A few days before the scheduled appointment, you will receive an email with the screen share information and a brief info form/invoice/contract.

IS THIS SAFE?
The screen share is like a private meeting. You have to authorize the screen share each time before I can access your computer; once you close the screen share program, I no longer have access to your computer. You are always able to watch me work and see everything I’m doing. If you need to temporarily end the screen share (to take a Zoom call, pay bills, etc.) you can! We can reconnect once you are done.
MY PHOTOS ARE A MESS…I’M EMBARRASSED.
No matter what your current situation is, please don't feel embarrassed about needing help organizing and prioritizing your photo collection; this is my job! I’ve worked with clients who have hundreds of thousands of photos and some that only have a few hundred…and everything in between.
PHOTOS ARE VERY PRIVATE; SHOULD I BE WORRIED?
As I'm organizing your photos, most of what I do happens in the software and within settings--I rarely interact with full-screen images.
